Do you recommend 110mb.com for web hosting?
No CommentsI want to create a blog, and I’m considering 110mb.com as a webhost. The 5GB space is free, but I need to pay 9$ for MySQL so that I can run WordPress.
Before I start shelling out money and putting in all my time and effort into building a blog, I need to know is 110MB is as reliable as they say they are. Any personal recommendations or experiences?
And while we’re at it, can anyone recommend a cheap place to buy a domain name?
Thanks!

Is it possible to have one domain name, but have one host handle emails, and another handle the site?
April 26th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I have a very reliable web host that I want to use to host my emails, but their control panel is low level. Meanwhile, I have another one that’s not as reliable but with good cpanel support. I want to use the first for my emails and the other to run the website , but have them all for my one domain name. Is it possible?

Here is my hypothetical. Can I register a domain and use it to sell a book titled the “Truth About McDonalds” or “Behind the Big Mac”?

How do I convert domain names to an IP address?
October 11th, 2008 Posted by: admin
I want to create a program using [preferably] Visual Basic or C++ that will convert any address you type in into an IP address. Then go to the website through the IP address. For example when you type in Myspace.com into the address bar it would instantly change to 216.178.38.129 [Myspace's IP] and then go the the site through the IP address not the domain name. I’m doing this because if I go to a website through the IP address at my school, it isn’t blocked; but, if I go through the domain name it blocks it.

How do I do this without losing any of my information and keeping the domain name that I bought from Wordpress? I know that I will have to get a hosting plan, but what else will I have to do?

How do the domain name/hosting companies register websites?
April 16th, 2008 Posted by: admin
You’re probably going to say “from a reseller.” Well, if they get it from a reseller, then how do they register websites? There has to be some kind of code or something to assign domains.
